Bullying in the Preschool | Short Course is a practical South African ECD course for preschool teachers, practitioners and caregivers.

When young children bite, hit, kick, push, grab toys or exclude other children, adults need to do more than simply stop the behaviour. This course explores what may be happening underneath challenging behaviour, how development and self-regulation influence children’s actions, how ordinary peer conflict differs from a concerning repeated pattern, and how teachers can respond safely without labelling or shaming a child.

The course includes practical teacher scripts, original visual learning resources, five curated professional videos and downloadable observation, communication, prevention and safeguarding tools.

Important scope: This course is intended for educational and awareness purposes. It does not qualify a participant to diagnose, investigate abuse, provide therapy or replace statutory child-protection procedures. Where a safeguarding concern arises, the applicable South African law and the centre’s safeguarding procedure must be followed.
