Cognitive and Language Development in the Young Child
Course Contents:
We look into the classic and more modern approaches for studying the cognitive development of infants and toddlers and answer questions such as how do infants learn, how and when does memory develop, what accounts for individual differences in cognitive abilities and do social interaction advance cognitive competence?
We also look into language development and what influences contribute to linguistic progress.
This course can be done in your own time and includes lesson material and video/s.
Complete a pre-and post questionnaire and receive a certificate of completion. (Digital, downloadable and printable)
This course ideally follows Perceptual Development and Skills in the Young Child, but can also be completed as a stand-alone course.
